PREVIEW: The Last Success Principle by J.D. Bloodstone

The following is an excerpt from my newest book, The Last Success Principle.  It has taken me a long time to get it into this final form.  What started as a single thought has finally evolved into what might be one of the most effective self help and self improvement books in existence.  It’s been a bumpy road, but I’ve had a lot of help along the way.  Many of my readers have helped shaped this book into what it now is and I’m very proud to share it with you…

The Single-Best Bit of Self-Improvement Advice I Can Give…

I get asked a lot of questions on Twitter (@jdbloodstone), but I received one the other day that really stopped me in my tracks.  Normally, I get questions that can be answered quickly without much thought, but this one made me reflect on my past and the path I took to get to where I am today.  The question was simple… too simple, perhaps.  The questions was this:

The Circle is Complete – Two New Books by J.D. Bloodstone Now Available!

I had always planned on writing a follow-up to Think & Grow Balls!, but I didn’t know that it would be six years before I wrote it.  To tell you the truth, I wasn’t sure when I was going to write it… I just knew that there was more to say on the topic… much more.  But, as with a lot of people, the last six years have been rough and I was too busy “righting the ship” to collect my thoughts long enough to sit down and compose a book.  The positive side of this experience has been twofold.  First, I was able to test out a lot of my own theory to prove to myself, once again, that my philosophy works, and with it, I was able to accomplish what I set out to do while facing several significant obstacles.  Second, I was able to come up with enough new information that what was supposed to become one book became two.  Napoleon Hill once said that with all temporary failure comes the seed of success.  It’s amazing how right he was…

Escape Velocity: From the Mailbag

It has been a while since my last post.  I suppose I was just waiting for the right topic to come along.  Recently, a reader sent me an e-mail that got me thinking about personal failure and how to come back from it.  Essentially, one needs to see their failure NOT as something negative but as feedback that is simply suggesting that a current course of thinking, feeling, and acting has come to an end.  Additionally, one needs to see their situation as a chance to start over.  My response to this e-mail was more in-depth than I expected it to be and I thought it was good enough to share with all of you who may be experiencing what the reader is going through.  I have included the original e-mail from the reader below (with permission) as well as my response.  Take a few minutes to read them and let me know if you think my response can be helpful to someone in a similar situation.

Escape Velocity Pep-Talk #2

This post is part two of a multi-part post featuring the original Escape Velocity Pep-Talks written by J.D. Bloodstone.  Originally written in 2008, these pep-talks were a supplemental weekly e-mail course sent to people who downloaded Think & Grow Balls! in its original e-book format.  These newsletters were recently discovered in an archived folder on an old computer after having been lost by the hosting provider and feared lost forever.  I am happy to report that they will be released on this blog over the coming months.
